Bangla Academy Standard Spelling (bangla banan & bangla translation)

About this app

In writing we are almost confused about the spelling (bangla banan). In order to eliminate this confusion, it is necessary to know the spelling rules. If the correct rules of correct spelling are not known, meaning-confusion occurs and the language is spoiled. Bengali spelling has well-planned rules.
Before the 19th century, there was nothing special about the rules of Bangla Banan (bangla banan). At the beginning of the 19th century, when the modern phase of Bengali literature (Bengali language) began, Bengali literary prose was discovered, then Bengali spelling was determined roughly according to the rules of Sanskrit grammar. There is no problem with Sanskrit words in Bengali orthography due to the influence of Sanskrit grammar since ancient times. But although there are many tatsam i.e. Sanskrit words in Bengali language, the amount of half-tatsam, tadbhava, desi, foreign words is not less. Many words entered the Bengali language from Attsam word i.e. Tadbhava, desi, foreign, Ardha-ttsam etc. sources. Besides, there are various types of compound words formed by the combination of tatsam-attatsam affixes, divisions, prefixes, etc. As a result, confusion is created in the spelling of Attsam words. As a result, although the spelling has been determined, the equivalence of Bangla spelling (bangla translation) has not been possible. Moreover, the Bengali language continued to leave the sanctity of the Sadhu tradition and take on a modern form. Moreover, like many other languages, the written form of Bengali is not entirely phonetic. So Bengali spelling difficulties continue.
In order to eliminate these difficulties and inconsistencies, first Visva Bharati in the twenties of the twentieth century and then Calcutta University in the thirties set the rules of Bangla banan (bangla banan). The Niyama of Calcutta University was supported by most of the scholars and writers including Rabindranath and Saratchandra. So far this rule is being fairly followed as a standard rule.
However, complete equality or uniformity of Bengali spelling has not been established. Rather, the chaos of Bangla translation has increased over time. Some words are spelled differently by different people. This is not a matter of pride for a developed language like Bengali.
In view of the chaos and confusion we are witnessing in modern times, there is a need to re-formulate the rules of spelling. Especially in Calcutta University-directed rules, there were more options. Alternatives may not be completely avoided, but should be minimized as much as possible. For these reasons Bangla Academy (bangla academy) has determined the current rules of Bangla spelling.
Bangladesh got partition in 1947 and independence in 1971. During this period, many recommendations and proposals were accepted in Bangladesh about Bangla banan (bangla banan). Following this, the National Curriculum and Textbook Board formulated Bengali spelling rules in 1988. The Board has formulated these rules for use in textbooks at the elementary level. Then in April 1992, the initiative taken by Bangla Academy (bangla academy) to determine the standard Bangla spelling rules was finally accepted in 1994. At present, the "Bangla Academy Standard Spelling" is correct according to the demands of the time, combining the spelling of Calcutta University and the spelling of the National Curriculum and Textbook Board.
In 2000, some of the rules were revised and printed as an appendix to the revised edition of "Bangla Academy Practical Bengali Dictionary". Later, the government of Bangladesh decided to follow the Bangla Academy's spelling (Bangla translation) in the primary and secondary education level textbooks of the National Curriculum and Textbook Board and in various government works. In this context, “Bangla Academy Standard Bangla Spelling Rules” was reviewed and revised edition was published in 2012. In addition to the booklet titled “Bangla Academy Standard Bangla Spelling Rules” (word meaning in bengali), the modified version of “Bangla Academy Standard Bangla Spelling Rules” has been finalized after detailed discussion of the Bengali Spelling Rules prepared by the National Curriculum and Textbook Board, West Bengal Bangla Academy and Calcutta University. is done
