His name is Abu al Husayn Muslim ibn al-Hajjaj ibn Muslim ibn Ward Naysaburi year was from an Arab tribe from which derived its name: Al Quchayri. As for Year Naysaburi it is a derivative of the name of its country of residence, the Nishapur, a great city of Khorassan. Date of birth, uncertain, is around 204 or 206 AH.
His childhood: The environment in which he was raised has helped him learn the useful science. Indeed, Nishapur was a country led by the sciences of Islamic law. It included many teachers and students. Her father was among those who were interested in science and probably he who encouraged him in this way. From the age of 12 (or 14) he participated in meetings of Hadith.
Two years later, on the occasion of his pilgrimage (it was still a beardless boy), he met scholars of Mecca and other scholars while on the road trip. He undertook many trips (around the Khorassan, Iraq, Hijaz, in the Sham, Egypt ...) in search of Hadith because of the dispersion of transmitters.
Its purpose: Muslim, may Allah have mercy on him, died in the evening of Sunday in the month of Rajab in the year 261 AH in the country of Nishapur. He was 50-some years. Let us pray that Allah grant him His mercy and satisfaction.
