About this app
The Marine Fuel Converter (Version 2) is very useful for marine use (marine engineers, masters and bunker surveyors).With this simple program you can calculate the quantity of fuel in metric tons.
For calculations you must entry
- the observed Volume (in cubic meter),
- the density of fuel at 15oC (kg/m3) and
- the observed Temperature (in oC).
With fuel density at 15oC and Temperature the app calculates the coefficient of thermal expansion and from this the Volume Corrected Factor (VCF) based on ASTM international standards (Table 54B).
After this, when the Volume is available the app calculate the weight (mass in metric tons) on air.
This program is very simple but you use by your own responsibility. This program has been created by a Greek Chief Engineer with studies in Physics.
