Protect Me tells you when and at what distance you should expect aquaplaning, hail, gusts of wind, slippery roads or fog.
Protect Me warns you of the exact location of the road section on motorways or federal highways within Germany.
Check the weather situation on the streets
On the live map you can see the current weather warnings on your route - whether on federal roads or motorways within Germany.
You can also share the warnings with your contacts.
Get weather alerts for your locations
You can subscribe to location-specific weather warnings as push messages for up to four locations in Germany.
Then you know when and to what extent a weather threat is likely in your location. And with the right tips, you will also find out what you can do to better protect yourself, your loved ones and your belongings from this.
Protect-Me warns you about these weather dangers:
- Flash flood
- Storm
- Heavy rain
- Thunderstorm
- Smoothness
- Snowfall
- Felt heat
Choose your warning level
Protect Me issues warnings in three possible levels: “moderate”, “elevated”, “high”. You can choose at which level you would like to be warned. For storm warnings, for example, this means that with the level “moderate” you will be warned of wind speeds of 63 km/h and with “high” only from 118 km/h.
Check the rain situation
On the radar map you can see the current precipitation and the forecast for the next two hours.
Tips and help with weather damage

Under “Tips and Help” you will find information on how you can better protect yourself from weather damage. If you want, you can give us short feedback under each article. Warnings with the data from Kachelmannwetter
Protect Me's alerts are not based on traditional weather data. We get them from the weather experts at Meteologix – also known as Kachelmann weather. The company has a close-knit network of weather stations and radars as well as exceptional expertise in processing complex radar data and can therefore make particularly precise statements about the weather situation.
Protect Me's weather warnings are created as non-binding forecasts for potential danger spots based on available weather data. We get this weather data from Kachelmannwetter. Information about future or current weather can only reflect a certain probability. The representations within the app do not claim to be complete, correct and/or up-to-date in real time. The weather warnings may therefore differ from the actual weather conditions in your locations and on your road section. It can also happen that no warnings are issued even though there are danger areas.
