We desperately need a revival that will stir unity in the Church. Yes, we need to prioritize prayer for unity in the Church. That is what will draw the lost world to God.
Whether you like it or not, we’re in a war with Satan. His evil influence permeates our society. Sin abounds and people accept as commonplace situations and events that, even a few years ago, they would have found shocking. Abortion, divorce, fornication and adultery, violence, drugs and alcohol, denial of religious freedoms, war, and many other everyday occurrences speak of a culture in crisis.
Like no other time in history, the devil is using any tool he can find to stir up trouble and ensnare the unwary.
Historians recount the Revivals of the past with awe and wonder. They tell of great pastors and great change in the lives of communities around the world. We hear these stories and wish for Revival, we may even pray for Revival, but historians also note that weeks, months, and even years of prayer preceded those great revivals of the past.
Whenever and wherever Satan is at work, God is also at work. Praise the Lord! There may be a strong influence of evil at work in the world, but the Holy Spirit is also at work; so there is a tidal wave of sinners coming to a saving relationship with Jesus Christ.
While all Christians are to be prayer warriors, there are some people who feel they have a special and unique ability to pray and have been called by God to pray as their special ministry. The Bible never specifies certain people who are to pray more often, more diligently, or more effectively than other Christians, but there are diligent pray-ers who are known for their emphasis on prayer.
Effective prayer is indeed work. We have to learn to walk with God, so we meditate daily on Him and His ways in order to become more and more humble, which is essential for effective prayer
Prayer warriors have a heart for God, a heart for prayer, a heart for people, and a heart for Christ’s church. Therefore, we pray continually and trust that God answers each prayer according to His perfect will and in His perfect timing.
Becoming a Prayer Warrior means pledging to commit to pray daily, at least 15 minutes a week for our ministry and for people to come to Christ around the world. Are you willing to be a warrior?
